The Tokyo Metro Government has announced changes on the hours they will allow tourists inside the wholesale area of the Tsukiji Fish Market.
Effective July 1st:
Visitors will be allowed into the wholesale area from after 10am (instead of the previous rule of 9am.)
The Tsukiji Fish Market is closing and moving to a new location this November, and the new rules are believed to be a countermeasure against the sharp rise in visitors and possible issues with safety and business.
