We've heard of visitors doing weird things like taking pictures of the different designed manholes, and now a tour of different public toilets might be the next fad.
The Tokyo Toilet Project is ongoing in the Shibuya Ward and by the end of 2021 will feature 17 new public toilets by some of the most famous names in Japanese architecture.
Restrooms designed by Tadao Ando, Shigeru Ban and Fumihiko Maki have already opened while there are plans for more from Kengo Kuma, Sou Fujimoto and Toyo Ito.
The project is partly sponsored by TOTO, the company that makes those excellent washlets.
